Couples Therapy
Most couples do not come in because they have run out of love. They come in because they cannot hear each other anymore — or they can, and it still hurts. This is a place to slow the pattern down, say the thing that keeps getting skipped, and decide what you want the relationship to be from here.
This may be you if...
- You keep circling the same argument and leaving more raw than when you started
- One of you pursues, the other shuts down, and both feel alone
- Resentment is doing the talking. Tenderness only shows up in flashes
- Sex, money, parenting, or family-of-origin stuff sits in the middle of the room unnamed
- You are navigating identity, ADHD, anxiety, or old trauma and it is landing on the relationship
- You are not sure if you are trying to repair or trying to leave with dignity
- You miss the version of you two that felt like a team
How we work
I am not a referee and I am not here to pick a winner. We look at the cycle you are both in — what each of you reaches for when it gets hard, and what that move does to the other person.
In session that can sound like:
- Mapping the fight so you can see it while it is happening, not only after
- Making space for anger, grief, and the quieter feelings underneath
- Talking about needs without turning them into a court case
- Naming how ADHD, anxiety, trauma, gender, or sexuality show up between you
- Practice between sessions when it helps. No performative “homework worksheets” for their own sake
Pace stays collaborative. If something is too much, we slow down. If the work is about ending the relationship rather than saving it, we can be honest about that too.
